Audi Sport's newest model will land this fall.
Audi Sport, the high-performance division of the German automaker, has unveiled its all-new RS 5 Sportback on the eve of the 2018 New York International Auto Show.
The RS 5 is the new top trim for the A5 Sportback model line, trumping today's S5 model. The new RS 5 Sportback is powered by a 2.9L twin-turbocharged V6 that belts out 444 horsepower and 443 lb-ft of torque. Power is shifted to all four wheels via a quattro all-wheel drive system.
Using an eight speed automatic and a self-locking center differential, Audi says the RS 5 Sportback can scoot from 0-60 in under four seconds.
The interior of the RS 5 has been upgraded with quilted leather, contrasting stitching and carbon fiber accents. The RS 5 uses Audi's digital cockpit gauge display. And, since its based on the A5 Sportback, the RS 5 Sportback offers a generous cargo area.
Audi has not announced pricing for the new RS 5 Sportback, but the company says the high-performance model will land in dealer showrooms this fall.
